Dear Disney Theatrical Group Recruitment Team,
I definitely added an artistic mystery to my high school. I was the behind the scenes face of the elaborate decorations, fun t-shirt designs, and homemade costumes. I ran the show for events at my school. If its artistic related, Mitch has got it handled. I loved being the person that my school could depend on for such things. People trusted me. This is an important title that I worked hard for and is what led me to Production Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I wanted to continue to be a trustworthy person who promised creative, worthy work every time. SCAD offers a group dynamic that allows a collaboration so valuable to the level of work being created. Everything I have experienced and learn thus far is what led me to apply for the Production Intern Position at Disney Theatrical Group.
I fuel my projects with the creative energy from my home city of New Orleans. Growing up, I attended Mardi Gras parades with my family every year and watched groups of people with there handmade costumes march to music. I took that excitement I felt and focused it into my own costume projects. Whether it was walking in my school's parade as Pixar's Wall-E or dominating the school's Halloween contest as a Nikon camera, my energy for creating always comes from my environments. Disney has a an energetic and creative attitude as a company that is unique to each individual. Disney Theatrical Group has the advantage of being in a city of possibilities and creativity. I would love to use that energy combined with my experience and attitude to excel in this internship.
I am excited about the possibility of working for Disney Theatrical Group. I look forward to discussing this opportunity at your convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Mary Mitchell Henry
